Nicole Vlado is an architect who uses performance and sculpture to explore the interstices between public and private spaces, in particular the intimacy of surfaces. As a graduate from MIT with a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Art and Design, Nicole received the Rosemary Grimshaw award for her thesis, "(re)collection: Bodies, Surfaces, and the Dispersed Home". Her work has been exhibited throughout the US, as well as in Mexico and Nigeria. She currently lives and works in New York, NY where she is a Principal at Shakespeare Gordon Vlado Architects (SGVA).
